Bridal show seeks vendors to showcase area services

An estimated 25 to 50 businesses in western Nevada County serve the wedding industry, including photographers, cake designers, florists, make-up artists, caterers, venues and disk jockeys.The ForeverLove Bridal Show set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, in Grass Valley, aims to highlight the area as a wedding destination offering top-quality professional services against a backdrop of distinct seasons, beautiful scenery, Gold Rush history and honeymoon-perfect bed-and-breakfast inns.“Local vendors who care about creating Nevada County as an elite wedding destination location are encouraged to not miss out on this team effort event,” Garton said.
During the event at the Gold Miners Inn-Holiday Inn Express, brides will be able to plan their entire day including hair and make-up, gowns, dinner, photography, flowers, transportation and entertainment.Off the Hook Bridal Shop and M3 Mall, both of Grass Valley, are partnering to create a fashion show of bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses and unique hair and custom cosmetic looks.
New with this show, is the addition of a benefit for nonprofits. Brides are encouraged to bring a canned food item to donate to the Food Bank of Nevada County to lower the cost of admission.Buy Cheap and Stylish bridesmaid dresses.Vendors are encouraged to donate a percentage of their sales to Women of Worth. There will be a variety of drawings and prizes from all the vendors and a Hawaiian honeymoon awaits one winner.
In preparation for the show, Off the Hook, M3 Mall and Randy Jackson Photography partnered in a photo shoot showing the before and after pictures of local models Tomi Lockheart, Camille Calhoon and Shonda March.
