In the meantime she is busy raising funds to pay for her school fees, including teaching dance in primary schools across Wigan, Warrington and her native St Helens. And she's been working with Manchester music impresario Keith Fane, who has previously worked with Russell Watson, Amy Nuttall and Debra Stephenson on their singing careers.Keith says: “Megan is fearless and has what it takes to reach the very top.”
But despite singing in front of theatre audiences before, her appearance on the rugby pitch was by far her biggest moment in the spotlight. It came about through her own rugby links – as her brother, Tom Armstrong, is a promising rugby league player himself. He left Super League side St Helens in the summer – to study petrochemical engineering at Manchester Metropolitan University. But while he completes his studies, he's signed to play as a part-time professional for Swinton Lions in the Rugby League Championship.
Tom was there to cheer his sister with the rest of the Armstrong family on Saturday. After trying out a host of the spectacular creations by Vicky and Nadine, Megan eventually decided on a spectacular black and silver sequin one-shoulder Merabi dress to sing the national anthems on Saturday afternoon. Then, in true showbiz style, Megan did a quick change in time for the interval to wear the ruby red Phoebe dress by Vicky during the interval to belt out her pitch-perfect rendition of Nessun Dorma.
Megan says: “It was really great feedback on the day, I wasn't really expecting it. I didn't have much time to think about how many people were watching, I just went out and sang.“I think everyone was surprised to see me so glammed up – it was a bit of a shock!“Everyone complimented me, my friends said it didn't even look like me!And as for brother Tom?Megan laughs: “He said 'you smashed it Meg', and from him that's quite a big compliment.”Lady Gaga looked comfy and casual at last night's MTV Europe Music Awards in Northern Ireland, where she showed up wearing sweatpants and sneakers. Kidding! Instead she rotated through a melange of shiny Paco Rabanne Spring 2012 dresses paired with Philip Treacy hats, some so architectural you could barely see Gaga behind them. The pop singer earned 4 awards: Biggest Fans, Best Female Act, and Best Song and Best Video for "Born This Way."

The right dress for you
Women are now dressier. They wear dresses in almost all occasions without any hesitations. Unlike before, dresses are intended for special occasions only such as going to church, attending parties and other events. One can wear church dresses and cocktail dresses for a more feminine look and sophistication.Dresses are all in the same form, a one-piece skirt ensemble. It only varies because of the style and the fabric used. When choosing the right dress for you, make sure it complements your body type. A body hugging dress may not look nice to a skinny person; it will only make her look thin even more.
What should we take consideration in looking for a dress that will suit different body types? Here are some pointers for those dress disaster that women usually encounter. One should know her body type in order to look good not only in a dress but with other clothes. Not all dress type suits or compliments a body figure. For example, if a person is petite, wearing a long dress should not be an option. Instead, wear short or mini dresses. It will make the illusion that you are tall.
Fabrics come with different textures and prints. Considering these can help you look good and slim too. For instance, if you are big boned, you should not wear fabrics with small prints. It will only make you look even bigger. Instead, use fabrics with big prints.
The style of the dress
Now, the style of the dress is the most exciting part as you are able to choose the style you want to wear in any occasion (it can be a night out with friends or any gathering). However, not all dress styles suit a person and one should consider the occasion in wearing a dress. Church dresses for example should be modest and non-revealing clothes. A dress with simple cuts and bright (not too bright) colored dress is a good choice.
In choosing the right dress for you, consider the body type, the fabric and the style of the dress. You would not want to be over dressed or under dressed for the occasion, right? So, choose carefully and make sure that dress you pick matches your personality.Girl Meets Dress has a great answer for you! Dress for Success is paving the way for women to re-build their lives
DFS has partnered with the Harris School of Business, in addition to other organizations. Once the women are referred to DFS, an appointment is set up to come to the boutique and complete their transition process.“DFS Philadelphia suits six to eight clients per hour, so a number of expert personal shoppers are needed to make the process run smoothly,” Lora Carter, volunteer coordinator for DFS Philadelphia, said.
With a background in sales and real estate, Carter has been a volunteer since 2008. Now as volunteer coordinator, she is responsible for recruiting new volunteers to the organization.“I desired to give back to the community,” Carter said. “I always had a passion for helping women, fashion and creativity.”
When a woman enters DFS, she is met by an image consultant. They discuss what type of job the woman is attempting to obtain and what her personal style is. DFS carries sizes from 0 to 28, and almost always has something for women of all occupations, including business suits, scrubs and construction attire. After revamping personal attire, each woman meets with a career counselor.Lusardi explained that there are three levels of support with a career counselor.Herve Leger dresses fit for every woman. The first level consists of perfecting the woman’s resumé. The second level starts developing a career plan and the third is a mock interview, where women are free to ask any questions they may have about upcoming interviews.
Along with a career counselor, women are given additional help from the organization’s various programs including the Going Places Network, Professional Women’s Group, a Financial Literacy Program and a Health and Wellness Program. The Professional Women’s Group helps women further their skills in the workforce.“This program allows women to discuss their experiences facilitated by members of the community who are experts in that field,” Lusardi said.
Gloria Abney, 27, of West Philadelphia, was referred to DFS Philadelphia by an advocate at her agency in Germantown. Abney needed professional clothing for upcoming interviews.
“The people are really nice,” Abney said. “I appreciate that this organization doesn’t judge you or look down on you.”Dress for Success is paving the way for women to re-build their lives. With a tagline of “Going Strong. Going Places,” DFS has shown to do just that by providing services to women all over the world to help them live better lives.

Cheryl Cole's size DOUBLE zero dress up for sale on eBay
The Hervé Léger bandage dress remains a firm fashion favourite - so Cheryl Cole must have thought twice before auctioning one of her own off for charity.
Millions of bidders went crazy when the former X-Factor judge decided to market 20 pieces from her wardrobe on ASOS and the body-con number was soon snapped up.
But many would have been disappointed as some of the garments appear to be too minuscule for most people to squeeze their body - if even their leg - into.
Her boyfriend, Khush Johal, 33 - an avid Cheryl Cole fan - had purchased the dark teal dress in the charity auction for £714 as part of an early birthday present.
Danielle, who turns thirty this September told MailOnline: 'I was shocked when Khush told me and was excited to see the dress knowing that Cheryl Cole had actually worn it.' Why Ashley Greene Loves Her ‘Breaking Dawn’ Bridesmaid Dress?
However she soon discovered that the garment - which retails for £1,300 - was an 'XXS', a size 0 by UK standards and 00 in the U.S. 'Its 32 inches long and 20 inches round the narrowest part of the waist!' she told MailOnline.
The PA from Telford, Shropshire hasn't even tried the dress on, but says that along with the small size she is also worried about 'spilling drinks on it on a night out and ruining such an expensive dress.'
It was a blow to boyfriend and IT consultant Khush as he had spent hours frantically bidding for the piece of pop history - which had previously been worn by Cheryl in 2008 when she dined out with Ashley Cole, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding at the Nobu restaurant in Mayfair.
This was around the same time that there were allegations that the former X Factor judge looked dangerously thin and was said to have dropped to as little as six stone.'I was bidding till the very last minute and was even unsure after the auction had closed whether I had actually won.
'After a nervous wait I had text confirmation telling me that I was indeed the winner! I was on business in Brussels at the time and it came as a nice surprise.' Khush told MailOnline.
The couple have now decided to sell the lot item on Ebay as Danielle is unable to make good use of it.
